Welcome to the official website of the Calgary Stampede Showriders.  The Stampede Showriders are a dynamic group of young equestrians with a distinctive western flare.

In 1985, the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede formed the Stampede Showriders.  Their initial mandate was to accompany the Stampede Showband in parades and rodeos across Southern Alberta.  As the group matured, they developed their own identity and broadened the scope of their activities.

Today the equestrian team performs across Southern Alberta and has traveled to destinations in the United States and Europe.  The Showriders perform musical rides several times a day and serve as a colour guard during the Calgary Stampede.
