The Calgary Marching Showband Association (CMSBA) was formed in response to the desire of Stampede Showband parents, band members, and the Stampede Band Committee to help raise funds for the Stampede Showband and Stampede Showriders.  Their primary mandate is to raise funds to offset out-of-province travel costs.

Each year the CMSBA has a full schedule of exciting fundraising events, and also joins with the Stampede Band Committee in funding band camps as well as providing essential chaperone services for day trips, social events, tours, and other band functions.

The Stampede Showband's international adventures often become a catalyst for other bands around the world to visit Calgary.  The CMSBA also plays a critical role in arranding home-stay programs and making sure visitors take in everything that Calgary has to offer.

Showband & Showriders are incredibly busy organizations. Keeping up to the pace of activities, rehearsals, performances, fundraisers is especially tough, and is also hard to communicate in newsletter format.

Families with internet access have access to the best resource for staying informed.  The band website is home to the latest news about the groups along with the latest schedule information.
